Pronunciation game: check whether you are understood
Read an example aloud and see what was understood. Quick practice, no scores.
The most useful question when speaking a language is not "was that perfect?" but "was I understood?". This game answers exactly that, in two seconds and without ceremony.
How to play
- An example sentence appears with a word from your vocabulary.
- You can listen to it pronounced correctly first.
- You read it aloud and see whether it was understood — and what was heard if not.
What it is and what it is not
It is a quick check: hit or miss, plus what the speech recogniser thought it heard. No scores, no phonetic transcription, no analysis.
That is what the pronunciation coach is for — it scores accuracy, fluency and completeness and points at the specific sound to move, explained in how to improve your pronunciation. This game is the light sibling: made for practising a lot, fast. All the games
It needs a microphone and a browser with speech recognition: Chrome or Edge. In Safari and Firefox you can hear the correct pronunciation but not record.
FAQ
- Is my voice stored?
- No. Recognition happens in your browser and the recording never leaves your device.
- Why does it sometimes not recognise me even when I say it right?
- Browser recognition is not perfect, especially with background noise. If it fails repeatedly on one specific word, that is when the detailed analysis is worth it.
