Conjugation: the right verb form, without thinking
You pick the conjugated form the sentence needs. Repetition until it stops being a calculation.
Conjugating well is not knowing the table: it is having the right form arrive while you speak, without stopping to walk through it mentally. That only comes from repetition, which is why it works better as a game than as an exercise.
How to play
- A verb from your vocabulary appears in context.
- You pick the correct conjugated form.
- You check and move on.
What it trains
Automaticity. The difference between knowing a conjugation and using it is speed: someone calculating it stops mid-sentence, someone who has automated it does not.
Irregular verbs benefit most, because there is no pattern to apply: they are pure memory and respond well to spaced practice. The full table for any verb is in its dictionary entry. All the games
